Building a Stronger, More Inclusive Utah Democratic Party
Utah Democrats deserve a party that is organized, transparent, and built for long-term success. As Vice Chair, Angela will ensure that every county, candidate, and activist has the tools they need to win. That means investing in rural outreach, strengthening leadership development, expanding fundraising transparency, and supporting candidates at every level.
A thriving Democratic Party in Utah isn’t just possible—it’s necessary. With the right strategy, resources, and leadership, we can grow our movement and build a party that truly represents and uplifts our communities.
Strengthening the Party
As Vice Chair of the Utah Democratic Party, Angela will work to build a stronger, more effective, and transparent party.
She will support county parties in developing the infrastructure needed to win elections and ensure that new activists receive comprehensive onboarding training.
Additionally, she will prioritize engagement with initiatives, strengthening their role as a bridge between communities and candidates, ensuring that critical issues are heard and addressed.
Expanding Fundraising & Transparency
Fundraising is essential for every campaign and party initiative. As Vice Chair, Angela will ensure that resources are used wisely—focusing on winning elections and securing the funds needed to grow the party across Utah.
While raising funds is critical, transparency is just as important. The next executive committee must provide clear and accessible reporting to members and the central committee on how party funds are allocated and used.
Angela has extensive experience organizing successful fundraising events and will ensure they are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all.

& Rural Outreach
Democratic success in Utah requires investment in every county, not just urban centers. Angela will prioritize rural outreach by collaborating with local leaders—union stewards, teachers, small business owners, and other community advocates—ensuring they have the resources, funding, and training needed to engage their communities effectively.
History has shown that investing in rural races yields strong returns, often securing more votes with a lower investment. By supporting even the smallest races—such as city councils and county commissions—county parties can lay the groundwork for long-term Democratic success.
As Second Vice Chair, Angela will work directly with county chairs and candidates to strengthen their messaging and campaign efforts, rather than downplaying them. Democrats in rural Utah understand their communities better than anyone else, and it’s time the party works with them in a way that truly reflects that.
Building the Bench & Leadership Development
A strong party requires strong leadership. Angela will implement structured onboarding and offboarding processes to keep party leadership organized and informed. She will also develop essential training programs for county, district, and initiative officers, covering key skills such as:
VAN administration
Mass email programs
Social media strategy (e.g., using TikTok, Facebook Ads)
Event graphics using Canva (aligned with UDP brand guidelines)
TRACER for treasurers
Running effective meetings using Robert’s Rules
Candidate Support & Training
Early candidate recruitment and training are critical for long-term success. Angela will work to expand access to VAN, providing no-cost access to first-time candidates from underrepresented communities.
Additionally, she will implement a post-election analysis process, allowing both candidates and the party to assess what worked, what didn’t, and how to improve for the future.
This approach ensures continuous growth and strategic refinement without assigning blame.
